Montresor Legal Transitions to Employee Ownership through Employee Ownership Trust
London, 29th October 2024 – Montresor Legal, a leading London based legal recruitment firm, is proud to announce its transition to employee ownership through the establishment of an Employee Ownership Trust (“EOT”).
Shareholders have sold 100% of the company shares to Montresor Employee Trustee Limited (“The EOT”). The EOT holds the shares on behalf of current Montresor Legal employees. All employees will benefit from share ownership as beneficiaries of the EOT. The sale was completed on 29th October 2024, with existing management remaining within the business.
This decision is set to enhance the firm’s commitment to its employees and clients, introducing a unique profit-sharing model that sets it apart from recent deals in the sector.
In a ground-breaking approach, Montresor Legal will distribute 50% of on-budget profits to staff starting from year one. This innovative structure not only empowers employees as stakeholders but also ensures they directly benefit from the firm’s success from the outset, rather than after a number of years, once selling shareholders have been fully repaid the cost of their shares.
